Autism & Developmental Assessment in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur campus·Children aged 3 to 10·English-speaking team

A good assessment does not label a child. It understands them. Our developmental assessment maps how your child learns, communicates, moves and relates, then turns that into a practical plan.

What our assessment looks at

Every child arrives with a different profile. Rather than one score, we observe your child across six areas: behaviour, learning, motor skills, sensory processing, social interaction and speech and language. This gives a rounded picture of strengths as well as the areas where your child needs support.

The aim is understanding, not a verdict. Parents leave with a clear sense of what is happening and what will help.

How the process works

  1. First conversation. You tell us what you are noticing at home, at preschool and in play. Nothing is too small.
  2. Structured observation. Our specialists observe your child in a calm, sensory-aware setting, using age-appropriate activities.
  3. Profile and plan. We bring the observations together into a written profile with specific, measurable goals.
  4. Next steps. We explain the options, whether that is early intervention with us, support at home, or a referral onward.
Assessment, screening and formal medical diagnosis are different things. Our developmental assessment identifies needs and guides support. Where a formal clinical or medical diagnostic evaluation is appropriate, we will say so and help you find the right professional.

Why early understanding matters

The early years are the most adaptable period of a child's development. Understanding a child's profile early means support can begin during the window when it tends to make the biggest, most lasting difference. It also removes the uncertainty that keeps many parents waiting.

Frequently asked questions

What ages do you assess?

We work with young children, generally aged 3 to 10. The earlier a profile is understood, the sooner the right support can begin.

Do you provide a formal autism diagnosis?

Our developmental assessment identifies your child's needs and builds a support plan. A formal medical diagnosis is a separate clinical process, and where that is appropriate we will guide you to the right professional.

How long does an assessment take?

It varies by child. We prioritise getting an accurate picture over rushing, and we explain the timeline clearly at the first conversation.

What happens after the assessment?

You receive a written profile with clear goals, and we walk you through the options, including early intervention, home strategies or an onward referral.
